Dr Rahul Verma
Mbbs, dranzcog, FRACGP
Werribee Medical & Dental Centre - Werribee
Dr. Rahul finished his medical studies in India with an internship in 2008, then worked at the university hospital for about a year before moving to Australia in early 2009. After completing Australian Medical Council examinations over the next few years, he started work in the emergency department in Warragul and then Werribee Mercy Hospital for over 4 years.
In 2019, he decided to pursue GP training, and one of the main reasons for that decision was the ability to provide continuity of care to the patients.
He commenced his GP training in 2019 at Echuca, Victoria. He joined Campaspe Family Practice in February 2020 and stayed until he moved to Maddingley Medical Centre in February 2021. He attained his fellowship in February 2022.
He has completed a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Werribee Mercy Hospital and can provide shared care to patients who are pregnant or are planning a pregnancy.
With his mental health skills training, he can provide comprehensive mental health treatment plans to patients with mental health conditions.
Outside of medicine, Dr Rahul enjoys spending time with his family (especially his cheeky 4-year-old daughter) and friends the most. He also enjoys cricket, PlayStation, photography and travelling.
