After qualifying as a doctor in South Africa, Dr Michelle Bonnici began her career working in a gynaecology unit, primarily supporting patients experiencing infertility. As a mother of three herself, she developed a deep passion for helping women navigate their own health journeys.

Following her move to New Zealand and later to Australia in 2013, Dr Bonnici continued to focus on women’s health, working predominantly in rural and remote communities. She holds a Master’s degree in Women’s Health from the University of New South Wales and has also completed three years of training in psychology.

With over 40 years of experience, Dr Bonnici enjoys caring for women through all stages of life – from adolescence to menopause and beyond. She takes a holistic approach to medicine, combining her experience in general practice with her special interest in women’s physical and mental wellbeing.

Outside of medicine, Dr Bonnici is a proud mother to three sons and three daughters-in-law, and a grandmother to five. She enjoys travelling with her husband Kevin, who is also a doctor, spending time with family, reading, and being outdoors in nature.
