Dr Lia began her medical career in Argentina, qualifying as a doctor before training as a General Practitioner in Spain. She went on to broaden her experience in the UK before eventually settling in Melbourne, where she now brings her international expertise to patients at our Ballarat clinic.
With more than a decade of experience across diverse healthcare systems, Dr Lia has developed a strong and lasting interest in women’s health. Her time working abroad highlighted a recurring theme: many women face systemic barriers to receiving timely diagnoses and appropriate treatment. Recognising this gap, she has dedicated her career to providing accessible, comprehensive, and compassionate care for women of all ages.
Dr Lia is a passionate advocate for advancing community knowledge and education in health and lifestyle. She firmly believes that women’s health has too often been overlooked and under-researched, and she is committed to not only delivering high-quality, evidence-based care but also contributing to closing these inequities. Her patients value her approachable nature, thoroughness, and genuine commitment to supporting them through every stage of life.
In addition to her medical work, Dr Lia enjoys cycling, travelling, reading, and furthering her studies. She is also multilingual and offers consultations in Spanish, French, and Italian, as well as English—making her care more accessible to patients from diverse backgrounds.
