Dr Karthiga Thanujan has over 16 years of experience in women’s health and is passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based care for women at every stage of life. With a background in obstetrics and gynaecology and extensive experience in reproductive and sexual health clinics, she is committed to creating a welcoming environment where women feel comfortable discussing sensitive health concerns and empowered to make informed decisions about their care.
Her clinical interests include contraception, Mirena® IUD and Implanon® insertion and removal, cervical screening, menstrual concerns, pelvic pain, vulval and vaginal conditions, menopause, and antenatal and postnatal care. Dr Thanujan has a particular interest in supporting women with their sexual and reproductive health needs through personalised, respectful care tailored to each individual.
Dr Thanujan completed her early medical training in obstetrics and gynaecology at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Canterbury Hospital, and Bankstown Hospital. She is a Procedural Associate of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG), holds a Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and is a certified diagnostic colposcopist. Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, cooking, and gardening.
