Dr Thusy graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka, in 2011. She went on to gain experience in obstetrics and gynaecology while working at the District Hospital Chilaw, as well as in outpatient and general practice settings.
With more than 15 years of clinical experience, Dr Thusy has developed a strong passion for women’s health. She has trained extensively in obstetrics and gynaecology both overseas and in Australia, equipping her with the knowledge and skills to provide comprehensive care across all stages of a woman’s life.
Since moving to Australia in 2015, Dr Thusy has worked in several Victorian GP clinics and is currently based at Forest Hill Medical and Dental Clinic. She has a particular interest in women’s and children’s health, reproductive health, pregnancy care, menopause, chronic disease management, and mental health.
Alongside her clinical work, Dr Thusy is committed to education and mentorship. She has taught GPs and medical students throughout her career and continues to serve as an adjunct lecturer at Monash University Medical School.
In 2021, she was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). Known for her compassionate approach and dedication to holistic care, Dr Thusy strives to empower women to take charge of their health and well-being.
In addition to English, Dr Thusy also speaks Tamil, helping her to engage with and support her patients more personally.
