Completing her physiotherapy degree at the Australian Catholic University in 2019, Gurlean Hayer has since developed a strong passion for women’s health and paediatrics.

She has undertaken further training with the Women’s Health Training Association and the Australian Physiotherapy Association, including advanced courses in pelvic organ prolapse, overactive bladder, and incontinence. Gurlean has worked across both private and public maternity wards, as well as outpatient women’s health clinics, and continues to pursue ongoing professional development to stay up to date with the latest evidence.

Promoted to focus exclusively on women’s health, Gurlean is passionate about breaking long-standing taboos surrounding women’s bodies. She is dedicated to creating inclusive and culturally sensitive spaces where all women—particularly those from underrepresented communities—feel safe, empowered, and supported.

Outside of work, Gurlean enjoys weight training and cherishes time spent with her one-year-old son, which further inspires her commitment to supporting women and children in their health journeys.
