Dr Aashita Hegde is a compassionate General Practitioner with a strong interest in women’s health, supporting women through different stages of life with personalised, evidence-based care. She graduated from Western Sydney University in 2017 and gained valuable clinical experience working at Liverpool Hospital and Royal Prince Alfred (RPA) Hospital in Sydney.

During her Obstetrics and Gynaecology rotation at RPA, Dr Hegde developed a particular interest in reproductive health and contraception, which encouraged her to undertake further training in contraceptive management, including Implanon insertion and removal. Her clinical interests include polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), antenatal and postnatal care, contraception and menopause management.

Dr Hegde’s passion for women’s health deepened after becoming a mother herself. Experiencing the physical and emotional challenges of the postpartum period gave her a personal understanding of the changes women may navigate during pregnancy, motherhood and beyond. This experience has shaped her patient-centred approach, with an emphasis on listening, understanding individual concerns and helping women make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing. She is committed to creating a respectful and supportive environment where women feel comfortable discussing their health concerns.

Outside of medicine, Dr Hegde enjoys spending time outdoors and making memories with her family.
