Dr Ekhlas Nasser

Driven by a desire to make a positive impact on people’s lives, Dr Ekhlas is committed to a holistic and patient-centred approach, focusing on both physical and emotional well-being.

Known for her compassionate and warm nature, Dr Ekhlas nurtures strong doctor-patient relationships while also supporting her patients autonomy in making informed decisions about their health.

Dr Nasser is vocationally registered GP Specialist, Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), has obtained a Diploma of Child Health from Westmead Health, as well as a Certificate in Women and Sexual Health from Victoria Family Planning.

With experience that expands close to two decades in various hospital departments, Dr Ekhas has worked in emergency, intensive care, general medicine, surgery, paediatrics, geriatrics, orthopaedic and psychiatry departments in Queensland, Victoria and New South Wales.

As a general practitioner, Dr Ekhas has a special interest in the health, mental health and well-being of children and women.

Outside of medicine, Dr Ekhas is passionate about philanthropic work overseas with Sudan’s Doctors for Human Rights, she also enjoys reading books and travelling.

Achievements in Women’s Health

Participated in Covid-19 vaccinations for Sudanese community groups during the pandemic.
Offering lectures in Arabic in various health topics relative to the Sudanese community in Sydney and around Australia.
I’m in process of building a website both in Arabic and English or especially for women in Australia and all around the world.
Established a women’s morning tea in 2016 for Muslim women in Hornsby as social support group. /li>

I am a strong advocate for women from diverse cultural backgrounds, and wish to help alleviate the stigma towards relative women’s health issues and mental health in general.
