Completing his medical degree and specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology, Dr James Brown has lived and worked in Western Sydney for over 10 years. He has been actively involved in teaching medical and master’s students at the University of Sydney and Western Sydney University during this time. He is also completing a PhD in health economics.

Before pursuing a career in medicine, Dr Brown worked in journalism and marketing, where he played a key role in the rollout of the Gardasil HPV vaccine. This experience ignited his passion for women’s health, particularly in primary care, leading him to focus on supporting women through various stages of their lives.

Dr Brown currently works with the South Western Sydney Local Health District’s Specialist Menopause Service and has contributed to building New South Wales’ first virtual women’s health service.

Outside of his professional commitments, Dr Brown enjoys spending time with his family, exploring new challenges, and staying active.
