Dr Rita Almohty

Graduating from medicine in 1997 from the University of New South Wales, Dr Rita has been a doctor for over 25 years.

Having worked all across Australia in a wide variety of disciplines, Dr Rita has experience in Alice Springs Congress indigenous health, Bathurst and Prince of Wales Hospital emergency departments, St George/Sutherland psychiatry, general practice in Sydney and the Northern Rivers of NSW and she was also a doctor for the 2000 Olympics.

Dr Rita enjoys all aspects of general practice including mental health, chronic disease, aged care, indigenous health and LGBTQIA+ needs, with a special interest in women’s health. Priding herself in her care, Dr Rita loves the continuity and support she can give her patients in general practice.

Outside of medicine, Dr Rita she has two young children who keep her very busy.
