Originally graduating from Myanmar, Dr Mar Mar worked for a few years as a GP, before joining her husband in Fiji who was working as a United Nations volunteer under UNDP. For 20 years, Dr Mar Mar worked in various fields of medicine in Fiji and New Zealand before migrating to Australia where she has continued to work as a GP.
