Dr Agatha Nten Ekwe is a compassionate General Practitioner with a special interest in women’s health and reproductive wellbeing. She graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Calabar, Nigeria, in 2015 before completing her General Practice training in East Lancashire, United Kingdom. She has since expanded her expertise with a Postgraduate Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and additional training in the insertion and removal of intrauterine devices (IUDs) and contraceptive implants.
Drawing on clinical experience across Africa and Europe, Dr Ekwe is passionate about providing evidence-based, patient-centred care that supports women through every stage of life. Her clinical interests include contraception, fertility support, antenatal care, menopause, sexual and reproductive health, and cervical screening. She believes that empowering women with accessible healthcare and clear, respectful information enables them to make informed decisions and improves the health and wellbeing of families and communities. She values the continuity of care that general practice provides, allowing her to build trusted relationships with her patients over time.
In 2025, Dr Ekwe relocated to Western Australia with her husband and two children and continues to enjoy supporting the health of her local community. Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her family, exploring different cuisines, and watching movies. She strives to bring warmth, empathy, and kindness to every patient interaction.
